Edmonton poet, essayist, photographer, and novelist Shawna Lemay has launched a wonderful new online poetry magazine called Canadian Poetries (can you hear the “trees,” see the “tries”?). The site includes poetry, poets writing about art, poets telling secrets about their work, and poets in conversation with one another about poetry.

I was pleased to be asked to contribute to Canadian Poetries, and you can check out my conversation with my dear friend, the poet, Jessica Hiemstra here. I recommend taking some time to browse around the site–you will find wonderful poems by Stephanie Bolster, Bert Almon, and Iman Mersal, among others.

Now I just have to ask her if she wants to add a segment of poets writing about trees…
